Regional group "Mali Łostowianie"

The regional group "Mali Łostowianie" is a children's folklore group operating at the Primary School and Kindergarten in Łostówka, Mszana Dolna commune, Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

The group is led by Janina Flig and specializes in presenting the traditional culture of the Zagórzański Highlanders – an ethnographic group living on the northern slopes of the Gorce Mountains and part of the Beskid Wyspowy Mountains. The group's repertoire includes traditional songs, dances and rituals characteristic of this region.

"Mali Łostowianie" actively participate in the cultural life of the region, regularly performing at festivals and folklore events. In September 2024, the band took part in the 13th Festival of Regional Bands of the Beskid Wyspowy "Beskidzka Podkówecka" in Mszana Dolna. In 2023, it won 1st place in the category of children's regional bands at the "Limanowska Słaza" festival.

The group also performed at events such as the 11th Village Tournament in the Mszana Dolna commune and the “Rhythms and Flavors” festival in Mszana Górna.

Thanks to their activities, "Mali Łostowianie" play an important role in cultivating and popularizing the cultural heritage of Zagórzanie, passing on traditions to the younger generation and presenting them to a wide audience.
